1. Use of Authorized, Accredited Installers:

Only authorized, accredited installers are permitted to carry out installations of Sona Solar Zimbabwe products. Failure to adhere to this requirement will result in the voiding of your warranty. We are here to assist you in finding reliable and qualified installers to ensure a smooth installation process.

2. Documentation and Proof for Warranty Claims:

In order to process warranty claims, it is essential to provide installation photos and proof of a qualified installer. Any warranty claim submitted without these required documents may be rejected, rendering the claim null and void.

3. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:

The Sona Solar Zimbabwe warranty does not cover damages resulting from the following:

Power surges.
Under voltage.
Over voltage.
Lightning strikes.
Corrosion.
Sea spray.
Condensation.
Water damage.
Dust or solid particles.
Sand.
Insects.
Lizards.
Excessive heat exposure.
Weather damage.
Negligence by the installer or homeowner.
Incorrect installation.
Inadequate protection device rating.
Tampering (broken seal).
Dirty filters.
Exceeding maximum power rating, current, or voltage for input solar circuit, DC battery input, AC input, and AC output.

4. Warranty Void Reasons:

The warranty will be void if the unit is found to be:

Not installed as per the manufacturer's specifications.
Not equipped with a minimal 40kA surge protection unit for both live and neutral wires from the AC incoming supply.
Not protected with a minimal 40kA surge protection unit for both positive and negative wires from the AC incoming supply.
Not safeguarded by the calculated and required 2 pole breakers for the input and output of the inverter.
Not installed with a changeover switch.
The battery input lacks a rated Battery Breaker for both negative and positive connections within the calculated PSCC ratings.
Tampered with or any attempts to open the unit.
Exhibiting visible damage.
