Important Safety Instructions
- All wiring must be performed by a qualified professional.
- Do not disassemble the inverter. For service, take it to a professional service center.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect all wires before maintenance.
- Be extremely cautious when working with metal tools around batteries, as a dropped tool can cause a spark or short circuit.
- Ensure the inverter is connected to a permanent grounded wiring system in compliance with local regulations.
- Never short circuit the AC output and DC input.
Installation Guide
This IP65-rated hybrid inverter is designed for outdoor use but must meet specific conditions. Install it on a vertical wall with adequate load-bearing capacity, ensuring clearances of at least 50cm above, below, and to the sides, and 100cm to the front for proper air circulation.
Avoid installing in: direct sunlight, areas with flammable materials, or environments with high humidity (>95%).
A separate DC over-current protector between the battery and inverter is required. Ensure you use the correct cable size to prevent injury and ensure efficient operation.
| Model | Wire Size | Cable (mm²) | Torque Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5/8kW | 2AWG | 35 | 24.5Nm |
CRITICAL: Before making the final DC connection, ensure the positive (+) terminal is connected to positive and negative (-) to negative. Reverse polarity will damage the inverter.
Install a separate AC breaker between the inverter and the AC input power source. The recommended breaker size is 50A for 5kW and 80A for 8kW models.
| Model | Wire Size | Cable (mm²) | Torque Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5kW | 8AWG | 8 | 1.2Nm |
| 8kW | 6AWG | 13 | 1.2Nm |
Install a separate DC circuit breaker between the inverter and PV modules. Ensure the Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) of your PV array does not exceed the inverter's maximum and is higher than the minimum start voltage.
| Inverter Model | PV Input Voltage | MPPT Voltage Range | MPP Trackers | Strings per Tracker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5kW | 370V (100V-500V) | 125Vdc-425Vdc | 2 | 1+1 |
| 8kW | 2 | 2+2 |
Operation & LCD Display
The touchscreen LCD provides a comprehensive overview of the system's status. The main screen displays energy flow (Solar, Grid, Load, Battery), system status, and gives access to the setup menus. Key interpretations:
- PV power and Load power: Always positive.
- Grid power: Negative means selling to the grid; positive means buying from the grid.
- Battery power: Negative means charging; positive means discharging.
The setup menus allow you to configure all aspects of the inverter's operation:
- Basic Setup: Set time, date, and other fundamental settings.
- Battery Setup: Configure battery type (Lithium/AGM), charge/discharge currents, and SOC parameters for generator start/stop.
- Grid Setup: Configure grid parameters. This should only be done by a professional.
- System Work Mode: Define energy priorities (e.g., "Selling First," "Zero Export to Load").
- Generator Port Use: Configure the generator port for generator input or as a smart load output.
Fault Codes & Troubleshooting
| Error Code | Description | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| F18 | AC Over Current Fault | Check that backup load power is within range; restart the inverter. |
| F20 | DC Over Current Fault | Check PV module and battery connections; restart the DC/AC switches. |
| F24 | DC Insulation Impedance Failure | Check PV panel connections and ensure the PE cable is properly grounded. |
| F35 | No AC Grid | Confirm grid connection is active and the grid switch is on. |
| F42 | AC Line Low Voltage | Check if the AC voltage is within the standard range and cables are secure. |
| F56 | DC Busbar Voltage Too Low | Check if the battery voltage is too low; charge the battery using PV or grid. |
| F64 | Heat Sink High Temperature | Check if the ambient temperature is too high; turn off the inverter for 10 minutes and restart. |
