The Sona Solar 1-Year Workmanship Guarantee
For the first year from the date of installation, your entire solar power system is comprehensively covered by Sona Solar Zimbabwe at no additional cost. This is our commitment to a quality, professional installation.
All Components
If any component we supply fails within the first year, we will repair or replace it promptly to ensure your system is fully operational.
All Labour Costs
Our guarantee is all-inclusive. It covers the labour costs for any necessary repairs, troubleshooting, or replacements during this first-year period.
No Hidden Fees
We value transparency. There are no surprise call-out fees or extra charges for any warranty claims processed within the first year.
Ongoing Support
Our dedicated technical team is always available to monitor your system remotely and answer any operational questions you may have.
Long-Term Manufacturer Warranties
After the first year, your system continues to be strictly protected by extensive warranties provided directly from the world-class manufacturers of your equipment.
Solar Panels
Protected by a robust Product Warranty (typically 12-25 years) for physical defects and a Performance Warranty (25+ years) guaranteeing sustained energy output.
Inverters
Premium brands like Must and Codi offer robust warranties, often ranging from 1 to 5+ years, with options for further extension, ensuring long-term reliability.
Lithium Batteries
Top-tier battery manufacturers such as SVolt and Must provide highly reliable long-term warranties, typically starting from five to ten years.
Lifetime Support
Even after your official warranties eventually expire, Sona Solar remains at your service to provide technical support and expert advice for the lifetime of your system.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe there is an issue with your system, contact our Customer Service Center immediately. Please provide your name, the installation address, and a clear, detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.
We will quickly arrange a convenient time to physically or remotely assess the system. If the malfunction falls within our 1-year workmanship guarantee, we will immediately proceed with the repair or replacement at no cost to you.
If the issue occurs after our initial one-year guarantee has ended, we will actively assist you in facilitating the claim directly with the manufacturer to ensure a smooth, hassle-free process.
Please note that the cost of delivery for certain warranty services after the first year may be charged to the customer as per the manufacturer's specific policy.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty comprehensively covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The following situations are not covered:
Force Majeure Events
Damage resulting from uncontrollable natural disasters such as severe lightning strikes, destructive floods, fires, earthquakes, or extreme weather conditions.
Negligence & Unauthorized Alterations
Issues caused by misuse, accidents, deliberate negligence, or any unauthorized alterations, rewiring, and repairs performed by non-certified technicians.
Improper Operation
Damage sustained from operating the product outside of its strictly specified environmental or electrical guidelines and capacity limits.
Manipulated Identification
Warranty requests for any products where the original manufacturer serial number has been manipulated, defaced, or completely removed.
Third-Party Equipment
Any technical issues, faults, or damages arising from supplementary equipment or accessories that were not supplied or installed by Sona Solar Zimbabwe.
