The Sona Solar 1-Year Workmanship Guarantee
For the first year from the date of installation, your entire solar power system is comprehensively covered by Sona Solar Zimbabwe at no additional cost. This is our commitment to a quality, professional installation.
All Components
If any component we supply fails within the first year, we will repair or replace it.
All Labour Costs
Our guarantee includes the labour costs for any necessary repairs or replacements during this period.
No Hidden Fees
There are no call-out fees or extra charges for warranty claims within the first year.
Ongoing Support
Our team is always available to monitor your system and answer any questions you have.
Long-Term Manufacturer Warranties
After the first year, your system continues to be protected by extensive warranties directly from the world-class manufacturers of your equipment.
Solar Panels
A Product Warranty (12-25 yrs) for physical defects and a Performance Warranty (25+ yrs) for energy output.
Inverters
Brands like Must and Codi offer robust warranties, often with options for extension, ensuring long-term reliability.
Lithium Batteries
Top-tier battery manufacturers like SVolt and Must provide long-term warranties, typically starting from five years.
Lifetime Support
Even after warranties expire, Sona Solar is here to provide technical support and expert advice for your system's lifetime.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact Us First: If you believe there is an issue, contact our Customer Service Center immediately. Provide your name, installation address, and a clear description of the problem.
- System Assessment: We will arrange a time to assess the system. If the malfunction falls within our 1-year workmanship guarantee, we will proceed with the repair or replacement at no cost to you.
- Manufacturer Claim Support: If the issue occurs after the first year, we will assist you in facilitating the claim directly with the manufacturer to ensure a smooth process.
Please note that the cost of delivery for certain warranty services after the first year may be charged to the customer as per the manufacturer's policy.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The following situations are not covered:
- Damage from force majeure events (such as lightning strikes, floods, fires, etc.).
- Misuse, accident, negligence, or unauthorized alterations and repairs.
- Damage from operating the product outside of its specified guidelines.
- Products where the serial number has been manipulated or removed.
- Issues arising from equipment not supplied or installed by Sona Solar Zimbabwe.
