Product Warranty & Service
This limited warranty applies to Esener inverters (3kW - 5kW) and Growtech inverters (3kW - 5kW) supplied via an Authorized Distributor.
The standard warranty period is 15 months from the date of manufacture.
After the 15-month warranty period expires, all Esener Inverters include a 5-year Service Guarantee. This ensures customers remain eligible for after-sales service from Esener.
- During this period, labor costs for any repair or replacement services will be waived.
- The customer will only be charged for the cost of the necessary replacement parts.
Warranty Preconditions
To qualify for warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:
- Professional Installation: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel from an authorized service partner, like Sona Solar Zimbabwe. Proof of qualification may be required.
- Product Registration: The product must be registered on Esener's after-service website or with a service representative within 1 week of installation.
- Proper Operation: The product must be operated according to the provided manuals and used only for domestic or light commercial purposes.
- Prompt Reporting: Any system faults or warnings must be reported to an authorized partner within 1 week of occurrence.
- Ventilation: The installation area must comply with the manufacturer's ventilation requirements. For outdoor installations, the inverter must be housed in a cabinet with temperatures below 35°C.
- No Unauthorized Changes: The inverter must not be moved, reinstalled, or modified from its original installation location without authorization.
The warranty does not cover the following circumstances:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Defects that occur after the warranty period has expired.
- Damage from incorrect installation, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.
- Damage from unforeseen events like storms, floods, overvoltage, pests, fire, or lightning.
- Rust or damage due to harsh environmental conditions (e.g., saltwater exposure) without prior written approval.
- Damage incurred during transport.
- Products with broken seals or tampered casings.
- Failure to report a fault within 2 weeks of its appearance.
How to Claim Your Warranty

- Contact Sona Solar Zimbabwe: Report the issue to us immediately.
- Arrange Shipment: The customer is responsible for arranging transport of the product to an ESENER service center.
- Assessment: The service center will assess the claim and may request a root cause analysis to support it.
- Resolution: If validated, Esener will repair or replace the product at its discretion. Esener covers associated expenses for valid claims; otherwise, the customer bears the costs.
- Response Time: Esener or an authorized Service Provider will respond within 10 working days of a service request.
