Service and Warranty Policy: MUST Solar Hardware in Zimbabwe
When you invest in high-performance solar infrastructure, long-term technical backing is non-negotiable. Sona Solar Zimbabwe, as an official distributor, strictly enforces the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and Warranty Policy provided directly by Must Power Limited ("Must"). This framework ensures your capital investment is protected against defects in workmanship and materials.
If you are considering returning a product or filing a claim, please review our comprehensive RMA guidelines below. We are committed to transparency, rapid service, and ensuring your transition to renewable energy remains uninterrupted.
Official MUST Limited Warranty Terms
For our customers, Must Power Limited offers the following limited warranty covering the MUST Products and components mentioned in your User’s Manual for normal use (man-made malfunctions excepted), starting directly from the date of shipment from the Must factory.
All MUST high-frequency and low-frequency hybrid inverters are backed by a comprehensive 1-year manufacturer warranty. This covers internal component failure, faulty factory soldering, and software logic board defects under normal operating conditions.
Recognizing the vital role of energy storage, MUST LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries are secured by an extended 5-year warranty. This covers significant capacity degradation and internal Battery Management System (BMS) failures.
*Note: In some regions where local laws have special provisions for the term of warranty, the foregoing term shall not be applicable. This warranty provides special legal rights and you may have additional rights as per local laws.
Voiding Conditions & Exclusions
To maintain the validity of your warranty, systems must be operated within their designed parameters. The following situations are strictly not covered by the warranty.
Finished goods that are lost or have had their factory serial numbers manipulated, defaced, or completely removed will instantly void all manufacturer warranty claims.
Loss or physical damage caused by uncontrollable external disasters, including direct lightning strikes, severe flooding, fires, or severe grid power voltage surges.
Any internal hardware damage resulting from operational misuse, accidents, severe negligence, unauthorized alterations, or repairs conducted by non-certified technicians.
Subjecting equipment to continuous load stress beyond its maximum rated capacity or direct violations of the operational parameters outlined in the User’s Manual.
The Repair & Replacement Protocol
If your MUST Products become inoperable within the covered period, Must Power Limited shall repair or replace the unit accordingly.
For warranty services, customers are required to get in touch with the Must Customer Service Center or their local authorized distributor (Sona Solar Zimbabwe). Our engineering desk will perform initial remote diagnostics to verify the fault before initiating a physical return.
Please note that as per the official policy, the Buyer/Customer is responsible for certain service and maintenance expenses. Specifically, the cost of delivery for returning items to the service center will be charged to the customer.
Warranty Claim FAQs
The 1-year inverter warranty and 5-year battery warranty commence starting from the exact date of shipment from the Must factory, not necessarily the date of local installation.
Always purchase from an authorized distributor like Sona Solar Zimbabwe. We log your serial numbers into the system upon purchase. Attempting to claim warranty on grey-market imports or hardware with defaced serials will be rejected.
Need to Initiate a Service Claim?
Protecting your solar investment means working with professionals. If you are experiencing technical difficulties with your MUST hardware, do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself—this will void your warranty.
Contact the Sona Solar Zimbabwe support desk today. We will guide you through the RMA process, consult the Must Customer Service Center on your behalf, and ensure your system is restored swiftly.
