The government has announced plans to construct two large-scale solar power plants with a combined capacity of 250 megawatts, a move aimed at alleviating chronic power outages and mitigating the impact of climate change on the country's energy grid.

Among numerous power augmentation projects, two large solar plants with a total capacity of 250 megawatts are being developed and will soon be commissioned."

The two solar power plants, once operational, will significantly bolster Zimbabwe's energy generation capacity, reducing reliance on hydropower and providing a more sustainable and reliable source of electricity.
