The Proposed Regulations

One of the primary objectives of the regulations is to ensure that all solar products conform to Zimbabwean standards and International Electrochemical Commission (IEC) standards. This will involve rigorous testing and certification processes to guarantee that only high-quality products enter the market.Qualified Installations
To combat the issue of unqualified installers, the regulations mandate that all solar and electrical installations must be performed by qualified professionals. This includes mandatory electrical inspections carried out by certified personnel to ensure that installations meet safety and performance standards. Additionally, there will be a requirement for mandatory training of 40 hours, including both theory and practical sessions, to enhance the skills of installers.Public Safety
